ROCKFORD — The Rockford Belle will open the stage June 21 for a concert given with Jess King & Country Gospel, emceed by longtime former radio host of WCSM, Jim Highley. Special guest, Jeff Davisson, opens the evening’s event. The concert is set for 7 p.m. with doors open at 6 p.m. The public is invited to the entertainment venue at 135 Market Street, Rockford. A free-will donation is accepted and appreciated.
Jim Highley, the emcee for the evening’s performance, performed with the Jess King and Country Gospel Band for several years, and still occasionally sings with them.
Jeff Davisson, of Lima, was raised listening to the all-time greats and he channels the likes of Johnny Cash, George Jones, Roy Orbison, and Ricky Nelson. His God given talent conveys classic country, Gospel, and Contemporary Christian music.
As a result of meeting and forming a professional relationship with Elvis Aaron Presley Jr. over the last several years, Davisson has been allowed to use his training to perform for different crowds away from church congregations. When Davisson is not on the road as a truck driver, he opens for many of Elvis Aaron Presley, Jr’s local shows. He does his own show in St. Marys at Lost in the 50’s Diner. The Wooden Shoe Inn in Minster hosted both of them last year as well.
