VAN WERT — On Thursday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m., the Van Wert Farmers Market will hold its spring meeting in the Buckeye Room of the Van Wert County Extension Office.

This market season will be the 41st year for the Van Wert Farmers Market, which is held at 500 Fox Road. Over the past years the market has been held on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is open to producers from Van Wert, Mercer and Paulding counties. It promotes the growth and sale of fruit, vegetables, flowers grown by the vendors themselves; homemade baked goods and honey, eggs, cheese and meat all with proper health licenses may also be sold.
