Convoy’s Manz retiring

CONVOY — For over 40 years Diane Manz has been a hair stylist and friend to all. She has invested over 30 years in Convoy as the owner/operator of The Sophisti-Cut on West Tully Street in Convoy, and Convoy is very dear to her heart. Her love and dedication to people has been demonstrated to her many clients and friends throughout the years.
Diane will be retiring as of Friday Dec. 27, 2013. An open house for the community will be held Friday at The Sophisti-Cut from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sharing her love of baking and food preparation has been enjoyed by many through the bake sales, dinners and parties that she so graciously donates to.
Diane is very active in the Convoy Community through the Convoy Business Association and its activities. She is acting president. She started “Lunch with the Easter Bunny” and it has continued for over 10 years, providing a community event for children to participate in activities and meet the Easter Bunny. Her participating in the Customer Appreciation Days provided homemade cinnamon rolls, cookies, candy and mints to all in the community.
Diane became involved with Convoy Community Days with the planning of the 125th Celebration of Convoy in 1999 and has been a member of the Convoy Community Days Committee since, supporting them with her time and talents. The Sophisti-Cut has been an avid supporter of the Crestview School District through the athletic and academic programs throughout the years. She has served on many boards and committees within the Community.
Diane Manz is a true friend and an asset to the Convoy Community.
