LATTY -- A search for a wanted person resulted in two people being arrested by Paulding County Sheriff's Deputies on Friday.
Deputies went to an address on Second St. in Latty to look for a suspect. While speaking with Sammie L. Jones, 30, another male subject was seen walking from a shed with what was identified as a "one-pot" meth lab. That man fled on foot. The deputies gave chase and apprehended the man, Jason C. Kremer, 31, a short distance from the shed.
An investigation revealed that Kremer's children were present in the home when the meth lab was discovered. That fact made the charges against the two were increased. Both Jones and Kremer were arrested and charged with first-degree felony illegal manufacture of drugs, and one second-degree felony count of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. Kremer also faces one county of third0degree felony endangering children.
Assisting at the scene were the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Paulding Fire Department.
