Sentencing

 

Christopher Bird, 40, Van Wert, Possession of LSD, F5. Sentenced to: 5 years community control, up to 6 months WORTH Center, 200 hours community service, 30 days jail at later date, sub abuse assess and treatment, 3 years intensive probation, ordered to pay partial attorney fees, monthly probation fee, and costs.

Sentencing

 

William Todd Vance, 36, Paulding, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 3, with specification that handgun used in the offense. Sentenced: 18 months prison, credit 27 days and firearm forfeited. He was also ordered to pay costs.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018

 

Eric Bowers, 31, Van Wert, requested change to his bond order. Bond modified to electronic house arrest. No contact order with one victim. Pretrial Feb. 14.

 

Changes of pleas

 

Andrew Bolenbaugh, 41, Van Wert, change his plea to Guilty to Possession of Cocaine, F5, and then requested and was granted Intervention in Lieu of Conviction, and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program. Ordered to pay costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

 

Tera Hernandez, 38, Ohio City, changed her plea to guilty to possession of cocaine, a felony 5, and then requested and was granted Intervention in Lieu of Conviction and her case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program. She was ordered to pay costs and partial appointed counsel fees. She also entered a guilty plea to driving under suspension, a misdemeanor 1. She was sentenced on that charge as follows: $250 fine plus costs, 30 days jail all suspended and one year community control.

 

Violations

 

Percy Huffman, 35, Lima, admitted to violating his bond and treatment in lieu by failing to provide an address to probation and failing to report. Sentencing set for March 7. Bond set at $5,000 cash or commercial surety.

 

Frank Bill, 62, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond and his treatment in lieu program by testing positive for alcohol and by failing to report for testing. He was released on a surety bond with sentencing set for March 7. He then denied violating his bond and treatment program a second time by testing positive for several drugs on a separate date. That matter was set for hearing on 3 March 14.

 

Sentencings

 

Beth Wright, 48, Convoy, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, a felony 5. Sentenced to: three years community control, 90 days jail, additional 30 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, substance abuse assessment and treatment, two years intensive probation and was ordered to pay partial attorney fees, monthly probation fees and costs.

 

Trinity Thurston, 38, Van Wert, domestic violence, a misdemeanor 1. Sentenced to: three years community control, 60 days jail or electronic house arrest, must be on EMHA or report to jail by 10 a.m. on Feb. 5, 100 hours community service, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatments, two years intensive probation and was ordered to pay partial attorney fees, monthly probation fee plus costs.

 

Ashley McKee, 34, Van Wert, aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 4. Sentenced: 16 months prison, credit for 197 days served and was ordered to pay court costs.
