Monday, Dec. 18, 2017

ARRAIGNMENT

Justin Murphy, 30, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to vandalism, F5. His bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for Jan. 10, 2018 at 9 a.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017

CHANGES OF PLEAS

Ashley McKee, 34, Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, F5, and aggravated trafficking of drugs, F4. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Jan. 10, 2018 at 10 a.m.

TIME WAIVER

Amanda Barnes-Hensley, 35, Van Wert, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare her case. Pretrial set for Jan. 17, 2018.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Antin Bartley, 23, Van Wert, denied violating his probation by having a positive drug test. Hearing set for Jan. 10, 2018 at 10 a.m.

BOND VIOLATION

Christopher Bird, 40, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond and treatment in lieu program by having a positive drug test and by failing to appear for other drug testing. His bond was set at $5,000 cash or commercial surety and sentencing set for Jan. 31, 2018 at 9 a.m.

SENTENCING

Rickie Welker, 35, Van Wert, was sentenced on two counts of assault on police officers, F4, and one count of domestic violence, M1. She was sentenced to prison for 14 months on first assault, and 14 months on second assault, consecutive, 180 days on DV, concurrent with the others. She was given credit for 112 days served and order to pay court costs.

TIME WAIVERS

Jeremy Paige, 33, Van Wert, executed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case.

Corey James Davis, 25, Van Wert, executed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case.

CHANGES OF PLEAS

Heather Frisbie, 34, Ohio City, aggravated possession of drugs, F5. Entered a plea of guilty and then requested, and was granted, treatment in lieu of conviction.

Jerad Caldwell, 31, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to an amended charge of aggravated possession of drugs, F5. He waived pre-sentence investigation and was immediately sentenced as follows: five years community control, 30 days jail at a later date, 200 hours community service, substance abuse assessment and treatment, court costs and monthly probation fee, two years intensive probation.
