    VAN WERT – Exactly 100 Western Buckeye League wrestlers in 14 weight classes gathered at the Cougar Den for several hours Saturday to contest WBL team and individual titles. Wapakoneta came in first with 146 points, well ahead of second place Ottawa-Glandorf's 122.5. Van Wert came in 5th with 106.

    VAN WERT – Last year a young vocal and dance ensemble shocked the crowd at Ohio Has Talent when they proved that their age didn’t matter and that they had just as much talent as anyone in participation. The Glamour Girls walked away with honorable mention at 2017’s Ohio Has Talent competition, and this year they plan to go for #1.

    MENDON, Ohio — Brendan David Poling, 49, of Mendon, went home to be with his Savior, and son Nicholas, brother Brian, and nephew Michael Young, on Feb. 15, 2018. His death occurred in a work-related accident at his place of employment, the Village of Mendon.
